DNA Submission Instructions

DNA testing and verification is required for all sheep with greater than an F3 status to be entered into the AKHSS Registry database. Registration Applications receive may remain “Pending” until DNA results are received.

1) Complete Registration application and pay fee in the Member Portal.

2) Order DNA sample cards or kit from Neogen.

3) Collect DNA samples from sheep (blood, hair or tissue) and place on Neogen Sample Collection Cards or vials.

4) Complete Igenity Order Form. Special Notes:

• Please be sure that Operation Name is listed as American Kerry Hill Sheep Society.

• Account name should be listed as AKH020.

• Who else should receive results? Admin@americankerryhillsheepsociety.com.

5) Mail Samples with Igenity Order Form to:

Neogen Genomics, 4131 N. 48th St. Lincoln, NE 68504. Regular envelopes are acceptable, refrigeration is not necessary.

6) Results are typically received in 3-4 weeks.
